Grassroot Soccer (GRS), the nonprofit organization that uses the “power of soccer” in the fight against HIV/AIDS, officially kicked off its global youth movement, Grassroot Soccer UNITED, as co-founder Ethan Zohn (winner, Survivor: Africa) embarked from Gillette Stadium at halftime of the New England Revolution - DC United match and took to the streets on a landmark 3-month, 550-mile trek, on foot – dribbling a soccer ball the entire distance. The first-ever Grassroot Soccer UNITED Dribble looks to get kids and all soccer fans around the world involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa and is being used as a vehicle to help raise money and awareness for GRS.

Ethan will be talking about GRS’s work in Africa and how we teach children about HIV prevention. As well, Ethan will be speaking about how kids can join the Grassroot Soccer UNITED Roster and do their part to help out with the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Also, they will find out how they can WIN A TRIP TO AFRICA IN 2009!

Target Audience:

Open to all local players u9 to U18 from all clubs and teams, parents and friends; as always this presentation is free of charge and open to the public.
